This little moppet reminds me of Shirley Temple with her curls and dimpled charm. This was a maternity session, but how could anyone resist portraits of this cutie!

I did mention this was a maternity session, didn’t I? LOL Mom was just radiant and had the perfect round belly that we photographers love!

She’s not a spitfire or anything, hm? LOVE little Miss M’s personality!

One more outtake that just makes me smile when I see it… We decided to break out the bubbles for the last few minutes of the session, and I captured the most priceless look on M’s face as she a big one floated right before her eyes.

The Janie and Jack sessions are over, and I feel like I lost 10 pounds from all the jumping, crouching, and chasing I did! The sessions were a blast. Now I have a little confession to make: I was a weeeee bit leary of doing the J&J shoot because I wondered whether my style would shine through within the constraints of 20 minute mini-sessions and a studio-type white backdrop. (Yes, I admit, I was concerned that those constraints would lead to somewhat “Picture People” style portraits!)

Thankfully, all those concerns proved unfounded, thanks to the engaging personalities of all my young subjects. These kids had my laughing all day long! Here is a sampling of a few favorites from the week. Thank you to all who participated and to Cassandra Linquist of Precious Time Photography for making the shoot such a success.

This week I am doing mini-sessions at Janie and Jack at Northpoint Mall. Yesterday was the first day and it went great! Here’s a sampling of day 1. We are shooting all day every day through Thursday this week.
